Ken Waters - CAD Technician

Kenneth Waters joined Dean Realty Co. in July of 2008, bringing 24 years of experience in residential and commercial development experience. Ken is responsible for developing site and floor plans, as well as managing drafting projects for the company's construction and project management groups. He maintains a library of plans for Dean Realty Co.'s above and below ground portfolio, and assists in plans and renderings for build-to-suit projects.

Prior to joining Dean Realty Co., Ken was self employed, where he was engaged in design and drafting for a variety of projects, including preliminary plats, final plats, streets, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, water lines and bike trails for residential and commercial developments.

In 2004, Ken became Project Manager for the Creekmoor development in Raymore, MO. There he performed all activities related to managing the design and construction of multiple subdivisions, including lake, golf course and clubhouse projects. His responsibilities included coordination and interaction with utility companies, contractors, realtors, home builders, property owners and all regulatory agencies. 

Ken worked for Hunt Midwest's SubTropolis, the world's largest underground development of its kind, in 2002. There he maintained updated maps and was involved in contract administration, construction inspection, public improvements and bid preparation responsibilities. He further assisted in the supervision of construction projects, overseeing TIF projects and budgets, as well as preparation of cost estimates.

His prior experience includes stints with various engineering firms in different cities, where he gained valuable experience in platting and design procedures, along with construction inspection knowledge in commercial and residential development.

In his free time, Ken enjoys barbecuing and fishing. He further enjoys competing in dart leagues and tournaments.
